We seem to be walking at the edge of disaster.
We don't know exactly why it happened.
We had exactly the same problem about 2-3 years ago.
At that time, the login information rendered useless and we had to register all over again.
The database program update by the webhosting company might have brought this problem.
On the way back to restoration, we might have taken a few missteps making it more difficult.
The resolution doesn't appear to be easy-coming at this moment.
