One of my favorite musics I listen to in the evening with the help of Alexa
is Kevin Kern's.
It is so soothing and reassuring and comforting.
I love its tender touch.
Kevin's father, Bill Gibbs, was a oral surgeon who lived in my neighborhood,
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and died a few years ago.
He was one of twenty some guys I used to go together to Northern Michigan
twice a year to play golf. We boys did that for some twenty years.
His father gave me Kevin's CDs when Kevin was not known in USA.
Kevin became a celebrity in Korea, Japan and Asia first, then his New Age music
came to America. Now "Alexa" can play his music for me all evening long here in America.
The description of the story about his blindness above is not entirely accurate.
He was not born blind. He gradually lost his vision completely because of genetic disorder affecting
his retina when, I believe, he was about 10 or 12. At least that's what his father's friends were led to believe.
Before his father died, Kevin had a home coming concert at a large Catholic Church, St. Hugo,
where he used to attend as a child. My wife and I were invited and had a chance to meet Kevin.
This was some 10 years ago. Kevin is almost 60 years of age now, and my older son is 51.
No wonder I look old. As his father's friend, I've been so proud of him and his accomplishments in spite of
his great handicap, blindness. He certainly is a great inspiration for all of us.

Thanks for introduction of Kevin Kern.
It is nice to know that he is a fellow Michigander!
Certainly I would try his music at my Alexa as well.
I like 'new age music' anyhow.
I have been neglecting to use Alexa more frequently
in recent days and I will change it.
Have a nice day! KJ
