Those were the days Those were the days Those were the days는 Russian romance 인 Russian gypsy song 이며 Very sentimental song 으로 17 세기의 Imperial Russia 당시의Gypsy의 영향을 밭아 발전한 곡입니다.20 세기에 들어 여러 종류의 노래가 발전 햇읍니다.이태리의 Opera 에 영향을 밭은 Salon Romance 와 Lower class 에서 발전 한 Cruel Romance 는 부정한 Love 라던가 사랑의 고통 으로 자살하는 등의 Cruel Romance 입니다. 그러나 이것이 나중엔 Russian Chanson으로 발전 합니다.Russian Romance 는 20 세기에 들어와 유명한 가수가 많이 나와 매우 발전 햇읍니다. 그러나 한때는 Soviet era 때 Buourgeois 라고 Pre revolutionary 라고 배척 햇읍니다. Boris Fomin (1900-1948 ) 이 작곡 하고 작사는 시인 Konstantine Podrevskii 이고 젊음의 회상과 Romantic idealism을 말합니다. Georgian singer 인 Tamara Tsereteli ( 1900-1968 ) 가 1925 년에 처음으로 녹음 햇읍니다. 이 노래는 1953 년 영국과 불란서 영화인 " Innocent in Paris "에서 쑈런 말로 노래 햇으나.서방에 알려진 것은 1968 년의 Mary Hopkin 의 Recording 으로 NorthenHemisphere에서 일위를 차지 햇읍니다.Raskind 이 영어로 번역해 유명해 졋읍니다. 다음은 가사입니다. Thanks, Dr. Kim, sharing this beautiful song we all remember. Indeed, anyone who likes this kind of ballad style song, I strongly recommend same melody sung by Irish ballad singer, Liam Clancy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fILx3zMHaY). I am sure many of you heard of him many times but as Bob Dylan wrote on his obituary- died in 2009 at age of 74-, Liam Clancy is THE best ballad singer he ever heard in his life. With peculiar Irish accent tinged, the way he delivers through this ballad made many helplessly broken down to tears including myself.
