Summer time Summer time Summer time은 George Gershwin의 Opera 인 Porgy and Bess에 나오는 Aria로 작사는 Porgy 소설의 작자인DuBose Heyward가 직접 작사하고 음악은 Gershwin이 작곡 햇읍니다.Gershwin ( Sep.26,1898--July 11,1937 )의 부모는 Ukrainian Jew로 St.Petersburg,Russia에서 미국으로 이민와 Brooklin. New York 에서 자라낫으며 음악 선생인 Charles Habitzer로 부터 European classical tradition을 배웟답니다. Porgy and Bess는 Jazz와 African-American의 Song style을 mix한 음악의 Opera로 1935년 Carnegie Hall 에서 시작하여Boston과 New ,York에서 공연햇읍니다.그러나 그후 1960년과 1970년 초반에 Racism이 강해저 뜸해지다가 1976년Houston Grand Opera에서 다시 Production한후 여러 나라에서 공연 햇읍니다.그역은 모두 훅인으로 햇고 그때의 흑인 생할은 가난하고 Drug 와 모든 문제를 흔히 주먹으로 해결하려는 급한 성격의 생각에 우려하는 흑인 들이 있엇읍니다. 그 내용은 South Carolina의 원시적 생활을 하는 흑인 부락의 이야기로 거기에는 읍침한 애욕과갈등 그리고 우매한 미신 그들이 가진 슬픔과 기쁨을 묘사한것 입니다,말광량이 Bess는 Porgy와 친하게 돼어 순정에 얼매이게 돼는데 Porgy 는 법률 모독 죄로 감금돼어 얼마후석방돼나, 냐와 보니 Bess가 다른 정부와 New York으로 간것을 알게 돼어 Porgy는 Bess 를 찻아 모험의 길 로 New York 으로 떠나는 이야기 입니다. 이 Summer time은 Ukrainian lullaby에서 inspire됏답니다. 다음은 가사입니다.
