Our family in the LPGA Solheim Cup !! At the 15th hole, par 5, we waited for the duo of Michelle Wie (American) and Caroline Hedwall (Sweden) at the side of mid-fairway. Each hit the tee shot. Michelle's ball landed perfectly in the middle of the fairway but Caroline's ball went very wide to the right landing nearby our family. Her ball was in the rough but well visible. We watched Caroline getting out of the rough easily with 6 iron. At the 16th hole, very tough par 4, Michelle got a bogey while Caroline had a par. They were even at the 18th tee box. By then European was 13.5 while American was somewhere 9. European could win by total 14 points and it would take only one tie or win to clench the trophy. Then a thunder storm warning came. There was a 55-minute delay. We left the course and headed home. While waiting for the bus in the shuttle station, we heard that Michelle lost to Caroline at 18th hole and the entire game was over with European team winning the game by a unprecedented large margin. Today, my son found a picture in the national news.
We watched all day following various players. It was a very long walk under the burning Colorado sun. |

Congratulation!
I thought you might go to this match and I was looking for you on TV as a matter of fact,ha,ha.
I still regret not to going to Yuna Kim's World figure skate Championship in London,Ontario,
80 miles away from my house last winter.
We went to Ryder Cup held in Oakand Hills, suburb of Detroit in 2004 though and it was somekind
experience as sport fan. USA lost to Europe even Tiger-Mickelson combination, you remember.
Each member of Solheim Cup has superb talent in golf, however the difference between 2 teams is
again mental strength at the crucial time like Ryder Cup,I believe.
This event would be good memories for both Stella and Stina for rooting for Mom's country!
Many of Detrot Redwings players are Swedish, whom I adore dearly as a fan! They are superb
athletes as well as fine gentlmen on and off the rink. KJ

Doc, there is a good chance that Colorado will host Ryder Cup sometime in the future.
In the Solheim Cup, there was a huge turn out of the gallery crowds
and LPGA and PGA were very happy to see it.
I've never seen so many people in the LPGA event like this one.
Since the discontinuation of PGA "International" in our village,
we had a few PGA and LPGA events in Colorado,
and it looks like we are getting more.
It was a fun to watch the game with our children and grandchildren.
As you may agree, as a grandpa, being with them was more important than anything else.

승자님;
It was not free !!
I am paying for it now. ㅎ, ㅎ, ㅎ.
After all, I am glad and blessed to have gotten the chance to pay it back.
Yes, what goes, comes around.

This is home-like, sitting at living room, chit-chatting to each other
- maybe this is home-page all about - as we see when Chomee-nim
shared "Lake Tahoe" story.
Proper or not, I want to listen to an old Korean pop song(1974)
