(The Late George H.W. Bush Earned CIA’s Respect When he Ran the Agency)
CIA has been known as the most capable spy organization in the world. To the contrary, it had failed
miserably to achieve what it set out to do, “infiltrating Soviet Union” since World War II. Virtually,
the agency could not put any spy inside the most threatening country to US. Lacking inside information,
US presumed that Soviets had been building up massive military power including nuclear weapons to
attack US. CIA lied constantly about the estimation of Soviet’s military strength. The agency fed the
overly inflated numbers to the president because that’s what the White House wanted to hear. The budgets
were provided accordingly. Of course, the agency ran numerous covert operations in foreign countries
in the name of protecting free world against communism. It did unjust to these countries and US has
been facing blowbacks. Some succeeded, but a lot of them failed. It littered with lies, coverups and
violation of human rights. It could well be the burial ground of a descent politician like late Bush.

Thank you for the memorable picture, Dr. Hwang. Dole might be another politician
who puts populism second to descency. I do not think we are going to see that kind of
politician in the future. Dole injured his right shoulder and arm during World War II
in Italy.

WASPs are losing because of two crooks sitting in the cathedral with Bush’s; Trump and Clinton.
America is and will be great because the tradition set by the merits of them will be passed down
to all Americans and they, too, are one of them. Thank you for the good article, Dr. Lee.
Maybe, they are the most-richly-endowed agency rather than the most capable,
practically the one with endless and audit-less financial backing by the US government.
That will surely keep them being much less efficient and more sloppy.
Just wonder if they provided more harm than protection to their motherland.
Think about the wrong information, intentional or unintentional, about the Iraq and Vietnam.
I hope they do have correct information about Korea, North or South.
