When the picture opens, it will play auto, if not,
place your mouse pointer at the lower part of the black picture screen.
The the player will show. Click the center arrow and it will play.

It starts without annotations or player control buttons.
So, bring your mouse to the lower part of the black area below the picture.
Then, you can see buttons and the player controls.
Click the second white icon at the left lower part,
and it will turn the annotations on for each picture
as it's color changing to green. The slideshow may stop
and you may have to re-click the center arrow to play again.
If slideshow stops, repeat the first 3 lines above.
