U.S. wants the complete denuke from NK first. S. Korea's priority is more on the cultural
and economic exchanges between South and North. South Koreans are deeply divided on the issue.
But the majority of Americans are for the complete denuke first. For the time being, White House
has been demanding NK complete denuke offering relief of economic sanctions and enormous aids
afterward. It is the idea of John Bolton and Republican conservatives. I do not think it is what Trump
has been kept in mind. As Mueller's report did not find any solid evidence of Russian collusion,
Trump initiated policy will emerge. "Step by step denuke matched by incremental relief of economic
sanctions" will be the final verdict because it is also what NK wants. It is the resolution that will put U.S.,
SK and NK on the same line. The opening of NK will threaten the current NK regime. It will be very
interesting for the world to watch how Kim handles the threat. The organization like "자유조선" will
be much more likely to be effective then than now. I would dare to say that the hope of reunification
is looming.

I worry that the gradual stepladder style denuke and economic help would really work
according to the hopeful scenario of the US.
Maybe, the US may end up being cheated without much denuke process.
NK will be much smarter than what SK and the US would assume.
Kim and his follower are not as dumb as the western world thinks.
To me, that is a good and also bad thing.
Hopefully, the strengthening of the NK economy by the US may hasten the demise of Kim's kingdom
while protecting the northern half of the Korean peninsula from the territorial ambition of Red China.
If Koreans (either North, South, or both) get to keep the nuclear arsenals, it will be extra-wonderful.

The irony of the situation seems to be rather more than a coincidental event.
Looking back our past, there was a Korean 상해임시정부 against Japanese rule of Korea.
Now, about 80 years later, we have 북한임시정부 somewhere (possibly in Mexico, hidden somewhere,
or in the basement of CIA building in the US !!) against Kim's regime in North Korea.
Can you guys feel a strange feeling in the historical destiny of Koreans?
The damn history repeats again right in front of our eyes.
In my imagination (Nella Fantasia...), one step further,
Adrian Hong and his Freedom Korea organization will not get to rule the liberated North Korea.
It will be ruled by a puppet brought in by the US.
Please remember what happened to the 독립군 and Syngman Rhee in the liberated Korea in 1945.
Will the same history repeat again here too?

That’s an interesting analogy if you replace Japan to North Korea.
I mean the NK regime is the the oppressing power against North
Korean people like what Japan did to Koreans.
Even though Shanghi temporary Korean government has been known as
the predecessor of the current SK government, it was hardly the voice
representing Korean people because there were too many factions and
most of them tied to either 국민당(장개석), or 중국 공산당(모태통) or Soviet Union
(Lenin). All temporary Korean governments were self claimed and none recognized
internationally. China represented by 국민당 장개석 was elevated her status to be
one of 4 ally nations after Pacific war broke out(Pearl Harber attack). Since 윤봉길
killed and wounded Japanese generals, 김구 and 장개석 became very close. 장개석
promoted Korean independence internationally upon Kim’s request. But China was
in limbo between right and left as much as Koreans are.

American spies operates out of American embassies in foreign nations.
Let’s say somehow U.S. and NK normalize their relations and exchange
embassadors. CIA agents may well be in Pyongyang. They also pretend to
be a journalist, a professor and a business man etc. All of these may undermine
Kim’s regime. For him, opening up his dynasty may not be so easy.
