We arrived at LaGuardia Airport on March 8, and stayed in the City until March 15, when six of us including four members of Jim’s family and two of us left JFK for Turks and Caicos Islands six days’ stay.
I visited three major places in the City. High Line Park is near to Chelsea apartment, and so has been our frequent park for strolling for a few blocks’ distance.
On Tue March 12, I decided to walk the entire distance of 1.45 miles from the south end, Gansevoort St next to the Whitney Museum in Chelsea, to the north end at the west 34th St between the 12th and 11th Sts.
It was Tue 12th at late morning, and quite cold and windy, but I braved myself to complete my walk. Around 22nd St I saw the grand painting of three goddesses.
I kept walking northerly along the abandoned railroad tracks, passing numerous high-rise buildings on both sides. Approaching the end the road was turning to the left and then to the right, making a gradual curve and almost half a circle, abruptly landing at the 34th Street.
There were some tourists, but not crowded, and comfortable walk for me. I kept taking photos without much thought, and here are twenty one of them. Please look at them without giving much thought on individual images.
