배상문이 액센츄어대회 8강에 진출했다.
미국프로골프(PGA) 투어 배상문(캘러웨이)은 2월 25일(한국시간) 미국 애리조나주 마라나 리츠칼튼 골프장에서 열린
액센츄어대회 매치플레이 챔피언십 16강전에서 존 센든을 누르고 8강에 진출했다.
배상문은 이날 존 센든과 치열한 접전을 하며 끝까지 긴장의 끈을 놓지 못하게 했다.
배상문은 결국 16번홀에서 존 센든이 보기를 범하자 침착하게 파를 성공시켜 1홀차로 앞섰다.
존 센든은 나머지 홀에서 모두 파를 기록했다.
배상문도 평정심을 잃지 않고 모두 파를 성공시키며 1홀차 아슬아슬한 승리를 지켜냈다.
이에 따라 배상문은 이 대회 출전 한국(계) 선수 5명 중 유일하게 8강에 진출했다.
배상문은 유럽 골프에서 새롭게 떠오르는 강자인 로리 매킬로이와 4강진출을 놓고 한판 승부를 벌이게 됐다.

저도 배상문의 경기를 보고 있는데 잠간 경력을 살펴보면 25세로 2011년 Q school을 통해
금년에 PGA에 입문 현재 5게임 출전에서 4게임에서 cut made를 했으며 최고성적은 14위.
PGA오기전 성적을 보면 11승을 기록 이중 Korea Open과 Japan Open을 우승했으며
작년에는 Japan tour의 상금왕이었다합니다.
오늘경기는 세계 랭킹 2위와의 경기라서 고전이 예상되나 Let us hope for the best. 규정

It was tough task against world ranking player like Rory and
good learning process for him to move up.

However, a good news...
At LPGA HSBC tournament, we have three way tie at the 18th hole.
Now, there's one more day to go with a lot of Korean players in the leader board.
Three girls arrived at the 18th tee as Katie Futcher (-10), Angela Stanford (-9), and Jenny Shin (--8).
Katie got a bogey due to poor tee shot and forced lay up.
Angela and Jenny put their second shots close to the hole, both facing fast downhill putts.
Angela missed the tougher breaking birdie putt for a par but Jenny calmly made her birdie putt.
All ended up as -9 when they finished the 18th hole.
Ji-Ae Shin and Nayun Choi are within striking distance to those three leaders
as well as a few more Korean flags on the leader board.
Anything can happen tomorrow.
We can enjoy a luxury of rooting for another Korean players when one fails to win.
How about that for a change? Are we getting spoiled?

Korean players had not done well on Sunday since last year.
Some of the reasons for those had been the player by the
name of 'Yani'.
Guess what! Who is lurking again? "Yani"!

American Power!
American golfers have been dominating PGA as well as LPGA this year so far.
First 8 PGA games have been won by American players including
WGC match play tournament by Mahan and cosolation game
by Wilson.
Two out of first three LPGA games have been won by USA players
including HSBC Women's Champion by Stanford.
Two out of four players in playoff were Korean players,but we
have to wait until next time. KJ
It was a close game and exciting. Bae won in the last hole with a short putt.
He is the only Asian playing in the the quarter final.
