I didn't know and hear about London, Ontarion, Canada.
I wanted to know about the city and I consulted wikipedia.
Here are a few facts I found which I want to share with you

1. Population - 366,151(2011 census), about the same size
                            as my hometown Jinju City.
2. Demographics(2006); White - 84.8%
                                             Korean - 0.6%, about the same %
                                                              of Koreans in America(0.5%)

Dr.Bang, London, Ontario, Canada, is only a little over two hour drive from Detoit, Michigan, which is a university town, University of Western
Ontario, which has a medical school and Is considered to be one of top basic science research universities in Canada, starting with Dr. Banting who discovered Insulin and won Nobel prize.

It is an old college town with a few Koreans. I've had multiple visits to the town mainly because one of my high school classmates, a close friend, Dr. Chil-Yong Kang(경상도 진주출생. Is your hometown the same?) is a professor at the medical school. Dr. Kang is a internationally well-known virologist who has been pursuing a vaccine against AIdS for over 10 years. He has given a lecture at our summer convention and a honorary member of our SNUCMAA. I presented his research and his lab on this page a couple of years ago.

He is considered to be one of candidates for Nobel Prize particularly if his vaccine turns out to be successful. He gets the credit for finding a way produce massive amount of HIV viruses by culturing the virus In the intestininal cells of caterpillar, which made aide vaccine development possible. Incidentally, his mentor who discovered DNA transcriptase won the Nobel prize. He is my age, but still pursuing his research full time. I might add that he is the one who did DNA sequencing for Hantan virus, the cause of epidemic hemorrhagic fever, which broke out here in USA, last one being at Yellowstone Park last year.
