To make it even better, as an LA County owned course, one can play at less than $40 with golf carts. With a senior card (over 65), it's just $25.
Wonderful weather... It's always spring time no matter when you arrive here.
A lot of people claim that there is nothing that can top playing the back 9 holes as the sun is setting. How about bringing a bottle of wine and some cheese while waiting for the slow group in front of you to clear out?

Some tips for you... The whole thing is basically on hills sloping down toward the Pacific and everything, especially almost all tee shots, rolls down towards the ocean. Be aware of the ocean break on the green... So often, your putting breaks towards the ocean even though you swear that it seems uphill.

In our real world, nothing comes together in perfect combinations.
So, here are some downsides to this course.
A major huddle is that it's almost impossible to book a good tee time without super advance reservations and early morning booking trips. In other words, one has to have a local connection to play this course.
Another problem is that it may take much more than 5-6 hours to finish on busy days.
The course is on a high hill looking down the Pacific and, at times, it could get windy enough to steal your concentration. But a guest player can always blame the wind if the score doesn't match his pride.
And then, least of all, one could encounter some brazen squirrels who would steal food from the golf cart. Once you take a bite into your sandwich, you might as well finish the whole thing before the next shot. Otherwise, you may never see the remaining part of it that you left in the cart.



In the first part of December, two *64s and two *65s got together for a round of golf.
One of the best things in the alumni business is to be only one year ahead or behind.
This is especially true in the medical school where one seldom gets to know the alumni classes that are two or more years ahead or behind.
