I have not read the book. So, I do not know exactly what the meaning of "자기가 원하는 꿈" is.
I read about an entity of "Conscious Dream" in the meditation and self-hypnosis articles.
"Conscious dream" is, in his dream, that the dreamer knows that he is dreaming,
thus, he controls what are to happen in his dream.
If one tries and trains himself in such a way until he can go in and out of the state of conscious dream
in which he can fly away out of his bedroom window to where he wants to go and do what he wants to do.
After such a trip, he wakes up and finds himself in his own bed.
I like to read this book someday and see what Dr. Hansoo Lee told in "Dream Wafer."
It will be very interesting, especially the author is a neuropsychiatrist among our medical alumni.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dreaming of "Dream Wafer", September 6, 2015 by YK
This futuristic, detective, and scientific fiction is fun to read and also educational.
It seems that the author might have had a dream before the retirement from Psychiatric practice. It is "Dream Wafer" itself, described in this novel, that enables the wearer to have a dream of his or her choice.
The novel is based on current knowledge and imagined future advancement in various fields of science. Many interesting futuristic devices beside Dream Wafer used in this detective story are also from his imagination.
And the scientific theories about dream and his "inventions" are explained well enough throughout the book.
These things, Dream Wafer and others, may be realized in the near future as the society that George Orwell described in his futuristic novel, "1984' published in 1949 appeared in Soviet Union and especially in North Korea.
