Politics involved in the Iraqi war you brought up reminds me of one old story - I might have shared already through this alumni website, Dr. Ohn! – involved in the Iraqi war as a laughing stock among Arab intellectuals to show how wise Jews are. Arab friends call this Iraqi war as a model of ‘American stupidity’ though I protested to call it ‘American naivete’.
Indeed, the story goes back to one meeting held at one resort place next to Suez Canal/ Alexandria, Egypt, I was invited years ago, which was organized by three academically interlinked societies to share their summer vacation with the family altogether. It was therefore pure regional only for Arab, mostly of Egyptian colleagues but I found out I was one and only non-Arab foreign speaker together with one additional Egyptian expatriate, professor of surgery of Emory Univ – later learned from the organizer why they invited me! – to enjoy their family vacation with them as a genuine friend with no barrier, which made me feel so privileged with great appreciation.
They openly and freely discussed many sensitive political issues over the dinner and also through the rest of the meeting including the Zionism together with Palestinian issues as well in front of me despite I was a foreigner. They really didn’t care much about me listening but further confessed about their feeling not only Jews but also Palestinians.
Indeed, I was really surprised to their critical view on Palestinians, openly attacking their slyness - they took the same side with Saddam Hussein through Kuwaiti invasion -, as bad as Jews if not worse. They laughingly compared Palestinians as a mirror image of Jews- though they publicly had to support Palestinians as the same Arabs against Jews.
Further, they praised how wise Jews are to solicit stupid Americans to go to war with Iraqi in behalf of them, avoiding a direct confront/attack Iraqi, BECAUSE, all Arabs and of course Jews know the history too well, that is, ‘No one ever won with fighting with Babylonians including Pharaoh and safely got out from Babylonia throughout the history’.
So smart Jews dragged dumb Americanos to fight with Iraqi instead of them while they enjoy watching the helpless American soldiers slaughtered mercilessly, Allahu Akbar!!!!

Europeans committed the original sins in Africa, Mideast, and Fareast. Unfortunately, they are Christians
and Whites. I am afraid the U.S. is dealing with the aftermath of reckless short-sighted exploitation of innocent
people. The U.S. must look back the history and heed the long consequences of the present policies.

As the situation between Bush and Saddam, we are looking at a very similar opportunity
between Trump and North Korea.
Trump has been preparing to hit North Korea for the last few months.
It will be most likely a "bombing" attack as South Korea does not appear to offer its military forces.
Trump has a better excuse because the North has actual WMDs (nuclear weapons and missiles)
that may be able to hit the mainland U.S.A.
As the success in November election becomes hopeless, Trump might hit North Korea
in order to turn his losing campaign to his advantage in desperation.
As always, just like the Iraqui War, the people are just pawns in this game.
We also pay for the game as well. Thanks a million.

He is going crazy as his poll numbers falling rapidly. He sent Homeland Security Forces
to Oregon to put down protestors even though Governer does not want federal troops agitate
peaceful demonstrators and they almost kill one. He will send more troops to states where
governors are democrats to dominate anarchists. He will restart COVID daily briefings. He reiterates everyday
Corona virus disaster in US is caused by Chinese. He said that Biden would defund police and there won't be
any police in American suburbs. He does not know American suburbs are no longer all whites. One third are black.
There are many Hispanics and Asians. I am sure they hate him and knows he is a liar.
However crazy man can do crazy things. Keeping him in the office even one day could be dangerous.
He started to lay the ground to refuse to accept his defeat if Biden wins in November.

I want to be optimistic, buddy, but I worry about 'pretty good chance' for bastard Donald to win the election again, as one article at WAPO this morning pointed out with increasing concern on unreliable polls. We have to remember the majority of Republicans still prefer this bastard than a Democrat.

People are good and a dictator is bad. Democracy is just and dictatorship is unjust.
Saddam Hussein is a dictator. We Americans went to Iraq to punish the bad and
liberated Iraqi people. And we would build the nation of American democracy in Iraq.
How simple and right that is! Even 6th graders would agree to it.
America had more than enough information that it would not work because Iraq is
an artificially-made nation based on the oil reserves that has many religious factions.
But it was completely ignored. Instead, the U.S. government constructed the false information
that Saddam had WMD manufacturing facilities and its stock files hidden and showed
it to the world in U.N. It was a completely false accusation. He did not have it.
The government engineered the false information and feed it to the innocent public to
carry on their political agenda. What is behind it? I think it is profit. The profit
of the defense industry is controlling the politicians.
The politics and the profits would not care for the suffering of Iraqi people because of
its destructive consequences. Politicians and industrialists are happy if they keep the power
and profit. Isn't it an irony that they get it through the votes of the people and the tax
paid by them?
