They are going to try the certification process tonight.

At the earlier meeting, Mike Pence (the chairman) said he would follow the constitution, not Trump.

They will fail. And the constitution and democratic process will prevail.

But when the senators are saying "my fellow Americans...", who are they?

12 senator's who do not agree to the election results have different fellow 

Americans from others. They know Joe Biden will be the next President, 

but they are pacifying their fellow Americans. This is the way that they 

will conduct the business. These idiotic ideas will undermine American 

ideals forward.

Right now, there is serious talk about invoking the 25th amendment against Trump.

There is some chance that this may actually happen within a day or two.

Today's breaching violation by Trump's mob in The U.S. Capitol building has become

a really hot scornful subject at tonight's certification meeting right now (It's going on at this time.).

by the committee members.

국 민주당 의원들이 임기를 2주 남긴 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령을 당장 끌어내려야 한다며 마이크 펜스 부통령에게 수정헌법 제25조 발동을 촉구하고 나섰다. 
 
조 바이든 대통령 당선인의 승리 최종 확정을 막으려 6일(현지시간) 트럼프 지지 시위대가 의사당에 대거 난입한 폭력 사태에 트럼프 대통령이 책임을 지고 직에서 물러나야 한다는 '탄핵론'에 불을 지핀 것이다.
 
수정헌법 25조는 대통령의 직무수행 불능 및 승계 문제를 규정하고 있다. 대통령이 그 직의 권한과 의무를 수행할 수 없다고 판단될 경우 1순위로 부통령이 직무를 대행하도록 한다.

부통령, 행정부 장관의 과반수 또는 의회가 법률에 따라 설치한 기관의 기관장 과반수가 대통령이 직무를 수행할 수 없다는 서한을 상원의 임시 의장과 하원의장에게 보내는 경우 등의 상황이 규정돼 있다.

민주당 의원들이 탄핵을 주장하고 나선 건 사상 초유의 의회 점거 사태를 촉발한 책임이 트럼프 대통령에 있다는 판단에서다. 
 
테드 리우(캘리포니아) 하원의원은 펜스 부통령에게 "당신은 수정헌법 25조를 발동해야 한다"면서 "트럼프는 현실로부터 동떨어져 있다"고 성토했다.

제니퍼 웩스턴(민주당·버지니아) 하원의원은 시위대를 '국내 테러리스트'라고 규정하면서 트럼프 대통령이 대선 전부터 이들의 테러를 부추겼다고 비판했다.

웩스턴 의원은 "트럼프 대통령이 시위대를 멈추게 할 수 있었는데도 오히려 이들을 광분상태로 몰아넣어 의회를 공격하도록 했다"고 트위터에 적었다. 
 
트럼프 대통령에게 인종차별적 공격을 받은 유색인종 여성 하원의원 4인방 중 한 명인 일한 오마르(미네소타) 하원의원도 "우리는 트럼프 대통령이 직에 남아있는 것을 놔둘 수가 없다"면서 "이는 우리 공화국을 지키는 문제"라고 말했다.

정치전문매체 더힐에 따르면 미국 제조업협회(NAM)도 "펜스 부통령이 민주주의를 지키기 위해 수정헌법 25조 발동을 내각과 긴밀히 협의하는 방안을 심각하게 고려해야 한다"며 이례적으로 대통령직 파면 문제를 공개 거론했다.

미국 제조업 협회 회장인 제이 티몬스는 6일 성명을 통해 "이건 혼란이며 법과 질서에 따른 것이 아니다"면서 "폭도의 규칙은 위험하다"고 짚었다. 이어 그는 "트럼프 대통령은 권력을 유지하기 위한 시도로 폭력을 선동했고, 트럼프 옹호자들은 민주주의를 거부하고 있다"고 비판했다.

트럼프 대통령을 상대로 수정헌법 25조 발동이 거론된 건 이번이 처음은 아니다.  
 
낸시 펠로시 하원의장은 지난해 10월 트럼프 대통령이 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나 19)에 걸렸을 당시 수정헌법 25조를 거론했다. 대통령이 건강 문제로 활동하기 어려운 경우를 대비해서다.  
 
펠로시 의장은 당시 "트럼프 대통령이 양성 판정을 받기 전 마지막으로 음성 판정을 받은 게 언제였냐"면서 "백악관이 대통령 건강에 대한 정보를 숨기고 있다"고 지적했다. 
 
앞서 트럼프 대통령은 한 차례 탄핵 고비를 넘겼다. 그는 2019년 하반기부터 '우크라이나 스캔들'을 둘러싸고 탄핵론에 휘말렸지만, 탄핵안은 지난해 2월 공화당이 과반을 차지한 상원에서 부결됐다.

Isn't that what we all anticipitated as 'expected' behavior by this mother fucker all along for the last 4 years? Did this riot/mobs surprise you? Don't tell me it did. But I didn't, as 'expected' one by these thugs, but shocked rather to such meek response by capitol police who rather gave a way to lead them in, holding the door till they leave, instead of arresting. Amazing they didn't rush to lay the welcome mat!

Once again I convinced myself that I was right that there are too many human garbage in this society, who are now turned into the poison to the society. Yes, those trashes are now poisoning the society, we really have to take seriously. We are in deep trouble, doc!
