"Starry Night" by Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890)
The Starry Night (Dutch: De sterrennacht, Français : La Nuit étoilée) is a painting by Dutch post-impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh. The painting depicts the view outside his sanitarium room window at night, although it was painted from memory during the day.
Since 1941 it has been in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
Reproduced often, the painting is widely hailed as his magnum opus.

First of all, thank you, Webmaster, for helping me to share this song with our alumni.
I don't know well Vincent Van Gogh's(1853-1890) paintings, even though I read his
biography many times, about his life and death, about his brotherly love for Theo,
4 years younger than Vincent.
When you listen Don McLean's song,"Vincent", it says all about him,
"how he suffered for his sanity, how he tried set them free".
Maybe, we see a glimpse of ourselves through his life.
Vincent passed away at age of 37, Theo followed several months after, at age of 33.
What a waste! They were too young. Alas!
