Looking at the face of the girl with watermelon, I wondered about many things.
Obviously, the native Indian girl came into the picture to sell pieces of watermelon.
My being lived through the "International Market", the first thing I felt was sadness and sympathy
in the fact that she had to sell watermelon.
Even if she successfully sells all the pieces of watermelon, she won't make much money,
hardly enough for her family.
What was she thinking as she was posing for the camera man?
Did she got a tip from the photographer?
As I stare at her big eyes and firmly closed lips that show no trace of smile,
I wonder if she was happy or sad.
The long lifelessly hanging arms may tell that she might have been tired already.
Looking at her crumpled and worn clothings, I see a life in poverty.
But, to see the situation in a lighter side, she, at least, is covered in decent clothings.
I wish she finds her wellness and happinness somewhere and sometime in the future.
