A REVIEW

One day, 24 hours.
One day, 1440 minutes.
One day, 86400 seconds.

My heart beats, let's say, once every second.
So it beats 86400 times a day.
My lungs do the same, every a few seconds.
I feed myself diligently every day to supply the energy.
All these enormous efforts every second of the day,
I'd say an extremely high maintenance expense,
in order for me to have the consciousness so that
I can do this review for a change.

That is not all.
Look outside my being.
In order to give me this precious day and night
the sun continues its silent journey through the Milky Way,
which it started aeons ago, and
our Mother Earth continues its silent orbiting
around the sun, which she started aeons ago.
My consciousness realizes that it owes just as much
to the sun and the earth for its existence.
For the sake of my consciousness at what a cost !
I'd say the cost is immeasurable, infinite.

My consciousness realizes that
my consciousness is a priceless gift from my Creator.
The natural question for me, my consciousness, is
Why ? What for ? What am I supposed to do with the consciousness ?

My consciousness realizes that
it is indeed a priceless, precious gift,
which took my Creator
the infinite amount of effort
as I briefly reviewed above.
My consciousness realizes that
indeed it has to be the life-long effort on my part, my being,
to find the purpose of my being, my existence, on this planet.

The Only Thing I've Learned

The only thing I've learned
After having lived 75 years on this planet
Is that I am HIS child,
That I do not know anything about anything,
And that HE loves me.

I came into this world as a child
Who didn't know anything about anything
And leaves this world the same way
Except one realization that
HE loves me.

Thank you, Good Lord,
For everything YOU have provided me
And for all your blessings.
