Delighted to have this new information, Dr. Kim. I certainly will enjoy it.
Due to my specialty on the vascular malformation after I retired from active role for the general vascular and transplant surgery, I had a chance to visit many remote countries to help them so that I always tried to get the local/ethnic music CDs wherever I go- especially I love MiddleEastern music (I have quite a collection)-. But I haven't been any of African countries since I made the first and last visit to Ghana, Nigeria, etc in 1960 and not a single country in Africa couldn't afford to take care of my travl expenses to come through these many years, including South Africa. Hope I would get the chance to get invited to visit them in future.
All the best,
BB Lee
What an interesting song, Dr.Kim I have never heard before!!
Quite cheerful and very melodious despite such oppressed history of Zulu as I know of - you could compare with Jewish/Yiddish melodies!-.
Is there any South African music/melodies of Zulu origin? It would be very interesting! Indeed I read a lot about Zulu due to Nelson Mandela, the only human being I admire most, but never heard or thought of their music.
Warm regards,
BB Lee
