Welcome to the 2012 KAMA International Convention and Scientific Program. The Korean American Medical Association (KAMA) is proud to host its 30th annual convention in Los Angeles, California at the St.Regis Monarch Beach Resort, July 4-7, 2012.
This convention, which will officially commence with a reception on the evening of July 4th, aims to help all physicians of Korean heritage to excel in the scientific, clinical, educational and humanitarian aspects of medicine. Furthermore, the convention will highlight the compelling need of Korean American physicians to promote Korean interest and leadership in the medical community. More than 500 physicians are expected to participate in an intellectually stimulating environment, especially through scientific programs and forums which will be presented by world-renowned physicians and scholars from United States and Korea: 1. Scientific Program- 'Advanced Medicine'-will feature numerous state-of-the-art presentations by leaders in various fields. 2. Forum on Health Disparity in the United States-will discuss challenges of the emerging Korean American health disparities. 3. Global Community Outreach Forum-Leading physicians will share their healthcare initiatives in underserved parts of the world. 4. Forums to facilitate worldwide networking for physicians and medical students of Korean heritage. The KAMA Convention is also a wonderful opportunity to spend time together as a family.
