Plum blossoms urge her return to Xizhou,
to pluck a branch for her lover at Jiangbei.

Her thin layer of clothing is apricot-reddish,
and her hair is as pitch-black as baby crow.

Where in the world can Xizhou be located?
Paddle twice at top of bridge gets you there.

At sundown, lonesome shrike flies in single.
The blowing wind caresses the tallow trees.

Trees shadow the facade of her door at front.
Through door cracks, jade jewelry is visible.

She opens the door and cannot find her lover.
As such, out she goes to pick red lotus seeds.

In fall, she goes to South Pond to harvest lotus.
Those plants' growth has exceeded man-height.

She looks down and plays around with seedpods.
Seeds are as greenish as the water inside the pond.

She places the lotuses she plucks inside her sleeves.
Like her love, lotus hearts are thoroughly crimson.

Despite her yearning, her lover is not forthcoming.
In disappointment, she looks up at geese in flight.

Flying geese fill the air high up the sky of Xizhou.
She walks up the stairs of tower for a better look.

The tower is tall, but her lover is nowhere in sight.
All day long, she leans against the railing to look.

Balustrades are meandering and stretching for long.
Her hands, glistening like jade, are dangling down.

Sky outside of the rolled-up blinds is naturally high.
Much like water in ocean, it is unfathomably green.

Dreamland is far-reaching and extensive as the water.
His gloom is contagious which triggers her to gloom.

South wind is sympathetic in knowing what she wants.
It carries her dreams far, far away to him in Xizhou.

매화생각에 서주로 떠났음을 기억하여,
매화 꺾어 강북으로 부치려하네.

홑적삼은 은행열매 같이 붉고,
양쪽 살쩍은 메까마귀새끼 색이로다.

서주는 어디인가?
양장교 나루터에 이르렀네.

날이 저묾에 백로가 나르고,
바람이 오구수를 불도다.

나무아래가 바로 그녀의 집이니,
문안에 비취비녀가 보이네.

문을 열어도 낭군이 이르지 않으니,
문을 나가 붉은 연을 따러 가도다.

가을날 남쪽 연못에서 연을 따니,
연꽃이 자라서 사람머리를 지나네.

머리 숙여 연꽃열매를 희롱하니,
연꽃열매는 물과 같이 맑도다.

연을 따서 소매 속에 품었으니,
연꽃 속은 철저히 붉도다.

낭군을 생각하나 오지 않으니,
머리 들어 날아가는 기러기 바라보네.

기러기 날아서 서주에 가득하니,
낭군을 바라보고자 푸른 누각에 오르네.

누는 높으나 바라보아도 보이지 않으니,
종일 난간머리에 서있네.

난간은 열두 구비,
내려뜨린 손은 옥과 같이 희도다.

발을 걷으니 하늘은 스스로 높고,
바닷물은 출렁이며 광활하게 푸르네.

바닷물은 나의 꿈처럼 유유하니,
그대가 근심하기에 나 역시 근심하네.

남녘바람이여 이 내 마음 안다면,
꿈을 불어 서주로 보내주오.

思念梅花很想去西洲,去折下梅花寄去長江北岸。
(她那)單薄的衣衫像杏子那樣紅,頭發如小烏鴉那樣黑。
西洲到底在哪里?搖著小船的兩支槳就可到西洲橋頭的渡口。
天色晚了伯勞鳥飛走了,晚風吹拂著烏桕樹。
樹下就是她的家,門里露出她翠綠的釵鈿。
她打開家門沒有看到心上人,便出門去采紅蓮。
秋天的南塘里她摘著蓮子,蓮花長得高過了人頭。
低下頭撥弄著水中的蓮子,蓮子就像湖水一樣青。
把蓮子藏在袖子里,那蓮心紅得通透底里。
思念郎君郎君卻還沒來,她抬頭望向天上的鴻雁。
西洲的天上飛滿了雁兒,她走上高高的樓臺遙望郎君。
樓臺雖高卻看望不到郎君,她整天倚在欄桿上。
(화 欄桿曲曲折折彎向遠處,她垂下的雙手明潤如玉。
卷起的簾子外天是那樣高,如海水般蕩漾著一片空空泛泛的深綠。
如海水像夢一般悠悠然然,伊人你憂愁我也憂愁啊。

1.想起梅花下到西洲喲,折下梅花寄往江北。你穿著那杏紅色的單衫喲,兩邊鬢發就像小鴉似的亮黑!
2.要問西洲在何處呵,劃起兩槳小船轉過橋頭再往下渡。夕陽西下伯勞鳥也飛走了呵,風兒吹動那沙沙的烏桕樹!
3.烏桕樹底下就是她那門前呀,門裡頭露出她頭上的翠鈿一一把門打開了卻望不見我那情郎喲,干脆出門去采紅蓮!
4.往南塘采蓮度過這金秋喲,蓮花高得過了人頭。低下頭來撥弄那些蓮子喲,蓮子青綠就像那塘水悠悠!
5.我摘下那蓮花放進懷中呵,蓮花的心兒真是徹底的紅。我想念我那情郎、郎又不來呵,仰起頭來望那天上的飛鴻!
6.飛鴻落下歇滿了西洲喲,為眺望我情郎上了青樓。青樓雖高但卻望不見他喲,一天到晚都徘徊在這欄杆頭!
7.漫長的欄杆有十二曲呵,拖著的膀子白白生生如同玉石。我卷起樓上簾子遠望高天呵,眼前的海水搖蕩著空綠!
8. 海水帶來了好夢悠悠喲,郎君在愁我也在愁。只有南風明白我的心意喲,把夢裡情人吹到了西洲!

注釋(주석)
①《西洲曲》:選自《樂府詩集·雜曲歌辭》。這首詩是南朝民歌。西洲曲,樂府曲調名。
②憶梅下西洲,折梅寄江北:意思是說,女子見到梅花又開了,回憶起以前曾和情人在梅下相會的情景,因而想到西洲去折一枝梅花寄給在江北的情人。下,往。西洲,當是在女子住處附近。江北,當指男子所在的地方。
③鴉雛色:像小烏鴉一樣的顏色。形容女子的頭發烏黑發亮。
④兩槳橋頭渡:從橋頭劃船過去,劃兩槳就到了。
⑤伯勞:鳥名,仲夏始鳴,喜歡單棲。這里一方面用來表示季節,一方面暗喻女子孤單的 處境(처경)。
⑥烏臼:現在寫作“烏桕”。
⑦翠鈿:用翠玉做成或鑲嵌的首飾。
⑧蓮子:和“憐子”諧音雙關。
⑨青如水:和“清如水”諧音,隱喻愛情的純潔。
⑩蓮心:和“憐心”諧音,即愛情之心。
⑾望飛鴻:這里暗含有望書信的意思。因為古代有鴻雁傳書的傳說。
⑿青樓:油漆成青色的樓。唐朝以前的詩中一般用來指女子的住處。
⒀盡日:整天。
⒁卷簾天自高,海水搖空綠:意思是說,卷簾眺望,只看見高高的天空和不斷蕩漾著的碧 波的江水。海水,這里指浩蕩的江水。

賞析(상석)
《西洲曲》,五言三十二句,是南朝樂府民歌中少見的長篇。全文感情十分細膩,“充滿了曼麗宛曲的情調,清辭俊語,連翩不絕,令人‘情靈搖蕩’。”《西洲曲》可謂這一時期民歌中最成熟最精致的代表作之一。
首句由“梅”而喚起女子對昔日與情人在西洲游樂的美好回憶以及對情人的思念。自此,縱然時空流轉,然而思念卻從未停歇。
接下來是幾幅場景的描寫:西洲游樂,女子杏紅的衣衫與烏黑的鬢發相映生輝、光彩照人;開門迎郎,滿懷希望繼而失望,心情跌宕;出門采蓮,借采蓮來表達對情人的愛慕與思念;登樓望郎,憑欄苦候,寄情南風與幽夢,盼望與情人相聚。
這其中時空變化,心情也多變,時而焦慮,時而溫情,時而甜蜜,時而惆悵,全篇無論是文字還是情感都流動纏綿。
《西洲曲》在藝術上有以下三點值得注意。
第一是善于在動態中表達人物的思想感情。
比如“門中露翠鈿”一句,生動形象地通過動作表達出了人物的心情,而“采蓮南塘秋”六句,是全篇的精華所在,它集中筆墨描寫主人公的含情姿態,借物抒情,通過“采蓮”“弄蓮”“置蓮”三個動作,極有層次地寫出人物感情的變化,動作心理描寫細致入微,真情感人。
第二是疊字和頂真的運用。“開門迎郎”場景中,四個“門”字的疊用,強化了女子急切盼望心上人的到來,而不時從門縫向外張望的焦慮心情。
“出門采蓮”場景中,又連用七個“蓮”字,著意渲染女子纏綿的情思。而頂真的運用使得句子靈活生動,朗朗上口。
第三是雙關隱語的運用。雙關隱語,是南朝樂府民歌中一個顯明的特征,它在詩經時代的民歌和漢魏樂府民歌中很少見。
一說“蓮”與“憐”字諧音雙關,而“憐”又是“愛”的意思,隱語極言女子對情人的愛戀。同時,“蓮子清如水”暗示感情的純潔,而“蓮心徹底紅”是說感情的濃烈。這些雙關隱語的運用使詩歌顯得含蓄多情。
另外值得一提的是,此詩以“難解”著稱,有研究者將其稱之為南朝文學研究的“哥德巴赫猜想”。
比如關于此詩的敘述視角就有不同解讀,多數人從女子的視角來理解,也有人從男子的視角入手,認為“憶梅下西洲”中的“梅”指代男主角所寄情的心上人。常言道,詩無達詁,我們在解讀的時候也可以嘗試多種新的視角,從而使詩歌的意蘊更加豐富。


OVERVIEW
《Ode on Xizhou》, Five words and thirty-two sentences, is a rare long piece in the Southern Dynasties Yuefu [樂府] folk songs. The full text is very delicate, "full of the sentiment of beautiful and intricate music, clear and handsome, and continuous, which makes people "swaying in love". "Xizhou Song" can be described as one of the most mature and exquisite representative works of folk songs in this period.
The first sentence by "Mei[Plum] evokes the woman's good memories of the past with her lover in Xizhou and her lover's yearning. Since then, even though time and space have flown, the thoughts have never stopped.
The following are descriptions of several scenes: Xizhou Amusement, the woman's apricot-red clothes and jet-black hair are radiant and radiant; the door is opened to welcome the man, full of hope and then disappointment, and the mood is ups and downs; going out to pick lotus flowers, using lotus picking to express love Lover's love and longing; Climb up the building to look forward to your husband, wait by the railing, send love to the south wind and dream, and hope to meet with your lover.
The time and space change, and the mood is also changeable, sometimes anxious, sometimes warm, sometimes sweet, sometimes melancholy, and the whole text is flowing and lingering in both words and emotions.
There are three points worth noting in the art of "Xizhou Song".
The first is to be good at expressing the thoughts and feelings of the characters in the dynamic.
For example, the sentence "Lu Cuidian in the door" vividly expresses the character's mood through actions, while the six sentences "Picking the lotus at the South Pond on a fall day" are the essence of the whole article. It concentrates on writing and describing the protagonist With affectionate gestures and lyrical expressions, through the three actions of "picking lotus", "getting lotus" and "setting lotus", the changes of the characters' feelings are written in a very hierarchical manner. The psychological description of the actions is meticulous and truly emotional.
The second is the use of overlapping characters and tops. In the scene of "Opening the Door to Welcome my lover", the overlapping use of the four words "door" reinforces the woman's anxious feeling of eagerly looking forward to the arrival of her sweetheart, and looking out from the crack of the door from time to time.
In the scene of "Going out to pick lotus", seven words "lotus" are used in a row to express the woman's lingering feelings. And the use of top really makes the sentences flexible and vivid and catchy.
The third is the use of puns. Pun[同音異義] is an obvious feature of Yuefu [樂府]folk songs in the Southern Dynasties. It is rarely seen in the folk songs of the Book of Songs era [詩經時代] and the Yuefu folk songs of the Han and Wei Dynasties.
When it is said that "lotus" is a homophonic pun [諧音雙關] with the word "pity", and "pity" also means "love", it is an cryptic language that expresses a woman's love for her lover. At the same time, "lotus seeds are as clear as water" implies the purity of feelings, while "lotus hearts are completely red" means strong feelings. The use of these puns makes the poem seem implicit and sentimental.
It is also worth mentioning that this poem is famous for being "difficult to understand", and some researchers call it the "Goldbach Conjecture" [;哥德巴赫猜想] in the study of Southern Dynasty literature.
For example, there are different interpretations of the narrative perspective of this poem. Most people understand it from the perspective of women, and some people start from the perspective of men. A loving sweetheart. As the saying goes, poems are short of eloquence, and we can try a variety of new perspectives when interpreting them, so as to enrich the meaning of poetry.
