LPGA 한국선수 양희영(35)은 이번 시즌 3번째 메이저 KPMG 위민스 PGA 챔피어스쉽에서
2위 구룹을 3타차로 따돌리고 우승했다. 이번우승은 그녀의 6번째 LPGA우승이며 첫 메이저
우승이다. 메이저대회 75번째만에 거뭐진 실로 달콤한 우승이다. 이우승은 한국선수의 금년
시즌 첫우승으며 양희영 선수는 고진영, 김효주선수와 함께 대한민국을 대표하여 이번 파리
올림픽에 출전하게된다. 마지막날 2타차 선두로 시작 그녀특유의 안정된 easy swing과
베테란다운 현명한 경기운영으로 난코스를 무난히 공략 우승했다. 그렇게 바라던 LPGA 메
이저 우승을 해낸 양희영 선수에게 축하의 큰박수를 보낸다.

"Nice guys finish last." She gave away so many trophies that she should have won because 

she could not finish it on Sunday. I am glad she has done it finally. She swings like Ernie Els

and moves like Seri Pak. She played "one stroke at a time" for all 4 days. She never look ahead. 

She made most of crucial putts. At the end her lead was enough to withstand the terrible mistake

on the 17th hole. She grew up as a professional golfer in Australia. Her family moved to Australia

when she was a teenager for her career in golf. After she became a LPGA player, they moved to

Orlando, Florida.
