From a recent Sungsoo’s e-mail I got enough motivation to try to enjoy his web site with some trepidation.
[Thanks lot for this webpages of yours.]
Now I was looking at the photos from Orlando convention.
Going through them was like a small quiz game on my own, trying to come up the name for each one.
With some faces, I was at a loss completely. If I did refer to a cheat sheet of the name list to select one to
match with each, I probably would have scored 100%. Except a few faces I have known at distance,
it was NOT easy task to extract from each face the characteristic feature I remember from such
a l_o_n_g time ago and then furiously demanding my brain cells to come up with names?! Sigh!
I had to ask Sungsoo to put the names under the photo so that I don't have to scratch my head forever to
figure out who they are. After my recent physical relocation back to the old place here in Andover, MA
from my last work place Syracuse, NY for 10 years longest stretch, boxes of boxes are still piled up in
every room and every hallway, I could not locate a single copy of a decade old alumni directory neither.
Now with the names under the photos I tried the quiz game again, then another one before this writing.
Boy! You know what? The one I failed on the second try was you, yourself, the last picture scrolled up,
Sorry 성수! What a change has come to all of us. It may be telling me about a experience joyous and
possibly scary for us to get together at our union coming October after 40 years – a full generation! I have
not had my own pictures within my reach to pull and show. That would be one of a few what to do list for
future projects which I HAVE to promise to myself. I hope it would not be like ‘to plan to be spontaneous –
tomorrow’.
Every day is God’s masterpiece; I thank for it. I humbly pray to make it to the fullness. As always I am being
far short of it as what our sin IS, not only from commission but omission; I constantly ask His forgiveness.
I miss you all. Unless I am far away as I am now, how you guys can miss me anyway?

I join Steven and others in welcoming you. Like they say, so much water has passed under the bridge
since many of us have seen you. I often think of the last several months before graduation we spent
the nights together in the classroom. I met you and Lee, Jae Jin, I believe, in New Orleans, 1971.
I met you briefly in Chicago during your internship. Then you called me a few months ago to get
Dr. Minn, Kyungtak's phone #. This is the summary of contacts between and me since graduation.
By the way, you told me you've been studying bibles. Whatever you set your mind on something,
you immerse yourself pretty hard (That may be the understatement of the day) so that some of us
may want to hear your progress. We are trying to delvelop our class website, and I believe you
certainly can contribute to this new effort, a sort of Enlightenment Movement in 21st century.
At any rate, I wish you best of luck to your new move back to MA. Take good care.
