We are not in the habit of running political messages in our website. But...
This particular one has our attention and interest because Sam is a son of one of our alumni
and he's also a Korean running for a political office.

Someone in the northeast, please send us the mayoral election result of
the city of Boston when it becomes available in a few days.

I myself eager to know the result.
According to Korean Newspapers' report in NY, Sam has good chance to win.
And I hope so.

I am happy to say that our SNUCMAA of North America through our past president, Dr. Yun's effort
and many of our alumni and their families have given the necessary support for his campaign.
Our Assn and all those alumni along with all Koreans are very much eager to hear the good news.

The special presentation of Sam Yoon by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Yoon, at our last annual convention
in Dearborn, Michigan, per invitation by Dr. Joe Yun, our president, was most impressive in several aspects,
first, how sincere and pure-hearted the campaign is,
second, how courageous not only Sam but his whole family including his parents are, and
lastly but importantly his campaign was based on faith, with which his parents brought him up so sincerely.
It is my view that Sam is a winner no matter what.
Even if he fails this time, he will come out as a winner when we look at his career as a politician.

Sam Yoon could not make it. Sorry to hear that.

Indeed it is too bad for us Koreans and those who supported him.
I'm certain that this defeat will make Sam stronger and wiser for his future endeavors.

We can only wish him and his family all the bests !
