God bless the donor, Dr., and Mrs. Kim!
2021 will certainly be a better year than 2020 for you and your family.
There won't be any better news than this one on the first day of 2021.

2020 was my dreadful 9th year of my 70s. I am glad it's over.
I wish you all have a much easier and happier year in 2021. WM.

I like to show you a picture below that you might not have seen even as a doctor.
On 10-21-2020 at the Presbyterian-St. Lukes Hospital in Denver,
my wife received the above "stem cells" from an unknown donor (a 29-year old male
in the USA) as the main procedure of a bone marrow transplantation.
This was how the stem cell packet looks like.
It was the most precious thing in the world and came free with no conditions attached !!
They said it came by airplane in an icebox from somewhere in America on the same day.
Even with modern-day medical technology, the procedure carries about 10% mortality,
way too much for a surgeon like me. Anyway, however, there were no other choices for us.
She went through it well, survived, and born into a new person with new blood.
She was born again from a body ravaged by acute myeloid leukemia and chemotherapy!!
The floor nurses prepared a birthday cake for her on the day.
My family sincerely thank the unknown donor's great favor and sacrifice.
We were not allowed to know or reward the donor.
We also thank all our friends who wished their best for her.
God bless him and all of you!!
PS: Our, my, or her family members were too old to be the donor.
