작가 김훈의 '칼의 노래'에이어 최근에 병자호란을 다룬 '남한산성'을
읽어 보았는데 두책다 부끄러웠던 우리들의 과거를 조금이라도 밝게
조명하고자 사명감을 갖이고 쓴책들이었습니다.
I must say they are well written stories. I admired him a lot.

통영시는 2005년 대학 졸업 동기 여행시 머물때 깊은 인상을 받아
그이후 한국방문시 꼭 들려 머무는곳의 하나인데 포구 앞쪽호텔에서
바라보는 아침햇살이 무척이나 따스했고 집사람과 근처의 어시장에
들려 싱싱한 횟감을떠서 소줏잔을 기울이며 남은 생선으로 매운탕을
끓여 주니 지나가는 과객에게는 고국에 와있다는 포근한 감상에 젖곤
했습니다.

after you saw my comment and inviting me to California.

In the near future, I shall say "California, Here I Come".

There are many places I want to go,
There are many people I want to meet over there.

Shall we go to Napa to see Dr. Minn and his Dreamland?
Or shall we go to Laguna Woods, Southern California to
have a round of golf with our great WM?

I promise you the day will come.

Where is the dream land?

You are always welcome to "dreamland", if you are ready to tolerate asbolute silence, boredom, for a week or more.  Just looking at water, ducks, trees, weeds, deers looking at you, clouds passing by, hot or cold weather depending on when, weeds everywhere, whispering stream under the tangled blackberry, rocks covered with green moss, fishes  jumping, turtles taking sun bath, egret fly by..

-but books are there, all kind of Chiniese stuff, poetry, painting, calligraphy -1000-2000 years old Han/Tang dysnasty stelle rubbings -is on the wall, emergency cell phone, e-mail, plenty of dry noodles, rice, dried yulmoo veges,..

But I have to confess something:
After 11 months of digging dirt, running around the house like a zoo animal, travelling here and there, .. that is becoming also very boring too. I need some change!

I MISS my life in prison to which I was used to for the past 12 years! 
So I am going into prison next Monday again, just 30 miles from home, 80 mile from "your dream land".
I can take vacations, no problem. I will show you inside of prison, but we need SS number and background
check which takes a week or so,  subject to approval, e.g unpaid parking ticket, DUI record etc.. 
 
I will find my "dream land" behind the barbed wire for a while, where I can meet my old professional collegues
again and ill prisoners, not much different from Dr. Hwang's lost cats.

But I have a special arrangement, traveling between "your dream land" for 3 days  "and my old "dream
land" 4 days a week,  for a while.

I am organizing  A LONG MARCH this autmn,  places I traveld some 25 years ago. I want to go there one more
 time before I reach heaven. 

- US -Guelim-HwangShan-Moorisan--Hangjoo- home   (Guelin, Hwangshan-Woorishan, Hanzhoww) leisurely
trip on our own for 3 weeks, maybe we can include a short trip to Tibet, which is a troubled spot.

All you need a pair of good boots and being able to ride a bike for 2-3 days in Guelim to roam around the country side. This time all males  4-8 max, as 2-3 pepole's wives cannot tolerate the lack of modern convenience.
Being ready to eat like Chinese peasants, but I prepared 3 pound of beef jerky, dry weight 0.5 lbs, 0.5 lbs of
dry kimchi (you have to dry one gallon)  

Hwangshan, we climb up but come down with a cable car, as climing down will ruin your knee joint.\if interested call me and let us plan
