The presumption of innocence is a legal principle that every person accused of any crime is considered innocent until proven guilty.

It protected so many innocent victims in a country where human rights are respected, but 

it is failing American democracy. An obvious criminal like Trump is about to become President 

of the United States of America because he uses an overly generous US legal system for criminals to

advance his aspirations in expense of American democracy.
