Dear Dr. Bang:
It is quite far, faraway from the civilized areas.
I live in Canandaigua, New York, which has population of barely 10,000 or so,
located in the southeastern location about 40 miles away from Rochester, New York.
Most residents are natives. Someone in Rochester City urged me to join their once-a-month meeting to relieve my loneliness.
However I am not lonely at all while living in somewhat desolate area.
I rather feel happy and peaceful. I also try to tell a few neighbors that I am a naturalist whether they believe or not.
Thank you for your interest.

Hm....
I assume the water in the picture is "Lake Canandaigua" then, one of the finger lakes.
Not far away south from where you are, there's Bristol Mountain Ski Resort.
I used to go there and skied in the evening and night when I was off-duty at Rochester General Hospital.
It was darn cold and wet in winter nights in upstate New York.
I used to drive back to Rochester when the ski slope got closed at about 10:00PM.
Deeply-frozen from toes to fingers by then, I used to burn the heater in my car coming back.
I guess I've never got into the town of Canandaigua, as I took the highway of SR-64.
Probably, you weren't there by then.
But if you were, I could have stopped by for a midnight cup of coffee. ㅎ, ㅎ, ㅎ.
Not only just to you, as always, time had run relentlessly to me as well.
It was the winter of 1966, 48 years ago !!
Ah... It was a very lonely and tough time for me.
Doc, thanks for a piece of memory !!

If you let me know, I'll show you my Dream House in my mind.
