The Two Books I Recommend

While I was away for 17 days to be with my three children, five grandchildren and some friends, I read two good books, one given by daughter, Ada, and the other by my associate, Dr. Henry Green. The first is a national best seller, and the other
a international best seller, a Brazilian author.
Both are fictions.
I guarantee that you'll not drop the books once you start reading them. They are,
"The Alchemist" by Pualo Coelho, (international best selling book)

".... All I know is that, like Santiago the shepherd boy,
we all need to be aware of our personal calling.
What is a personal calling?
It is God's blessing, it is the path that God chose
for you here on Earth.
Whenever we do something that fills us with enthusiasm,
we are following our legend(an explanatory list of
symbols on a map or chart).
However, we don't all have the courage to confront our own dream. Why?
There are four obstacles. First: .........."

"JOSHUA" by Joseph F. Girzone (a national best seller)
Jesus by the name of Joshua came among us and met all HIS brothers and sisters(people of all different backgrounds)
and showed us "The Way" and left us again.
"The Way" shows lots of wisdom we modern men and women need everyday.

Our Belated Happy New Year To You All, Our Friends !!

We were away from December 17 thru Jan 3 and had our long-awaited family
get-together over the holidays. We had one of our memarable Christmas celebrations
with our five grand children, ages from 3 to 11, three children and their spouses, and some friends.
It was indeed a blessed time for our family and friends !!
We must report that we had an occasion to meet our webmaster and his better half
and played a round of golf together thanks to the invitation by Dr. and Mrs.
Hongpyo Lee(64), who also invited his classmate and wife, Dr. and Mrs. Jo, Dong June,
past president of our SNUCMAA.

We also must report that Dr. Honpyo Lee(64) and his wife consider Detroit as their Gohyang
because they had their two children there while he had five years of internship, residency
and fellowship. I had a fortune to have had the training together with Dr. Lee while our kids
were growing up together.
Dr. Lee and Mrs. were very hospitable hosts to arrange the golf outing and the wonderful dinner.
My wife and I would like to express our gratitude once again on this page.
Because of our short stay in LA, we regret not to be able to see many other classmates
my wife and I haven't seen for sometime.

Welcome back both of you and Happy New Year!
I am gald to hear that you have had wonderful times
in California with your families as well as friends.
We came back from NY last week after we had spent
Christmas Hoidays with our kids. Hopely see you soon. KJ

A memorable golf round at The Rolling Hills Country Club for the four couples
on December 30, 2009.
It was a cloudy, drizzling rainy day, but a most memorable one.
