Traditionally Korean players in LPGA have been strong in Major tournaments,
 especially the US Open. This is the 11th win of the US Open in LPGA by a Korean player.
She came 5 strokes back from the lead to win and her Iron shots and puttings were
excellent. Finishing with 3 birdies in a row on tough 16th-18th holes were
simply amazing! She was 1 million dollars richer with this win as well.

김아림선수(25)는 2013년 KLPGA 입문후 2승을한 푸로로 한국에서는
장타선수(평균 드라이브 비거리 259.5야드)로 알려져있고 금년에는
우승이 없었으나 최근 4경기에서 top 10에 들어가 상승세를 타고있는
선수이다. 이번 US Open도 행운이 따라 참가할수 있었다.

보통때는 월드랭킹 50위만 참가하게 되는데 COVID-19으로 지역예선
대회가 취소되어 75위까지 확장 초대해서 그혜택으로 참가하게 되었다.
더구나 날씨까지 추워서 장기안 장타에 공격적인 게임이 먹혀들어 깜짝
우승을 하게 되었다. Underdog longshot선수가 우승하는것만큼
즐거운일도 드물다고 생각한다.

US Open 첫번 참가해 우승한 역대 다섯번째 선수이며 1998년 박세리
선수 우승이후 한국선수로는 11번째 우승을한 선수이다. 이번우승으로
앞으로 5년간 LPGA pass를 얻게되는데 앞으로 LPGA join여부가
흥미로운 사실로 주목된다.  규정

      김주연(2005년), 박인비(2008·2013년), 지은희(2009년),
      유소연(2011년), 최나연(2012년), 전인지(2015년), 박성현

I've never seen the whole tournament is upside down so quickly, not to mention 

major. Three Birdies in the last three wholes in the US open is unheard of either PGA or 

LPGA. Korean players showed resilience in cold weather. Perhaps, they used to play 

in the winter when Siberian winds blowing fiercely. They have been quiet in the first 

3 days, but dominated in the cold final day. 
 

A Lim's tall and strong physiques produce high shots that make the ball stay closer 

to the pin and she made the putts. It was fun to watch for her to win from behind.

조금 불편해도 마스크를쓰고 경기한 남을 배려하는 마음,인터뷰시에 솔직하고
당당함, 그리고 무었보다도 헝상 미소짖는 표정들---, 대한민국 위상을 높이
는데 일조한 행동들 이었습니다. 자랑 스럽네요.

한경기만 남겨놓고 연말 awards는 비록 코로나 때문에 축소되었던 해이기는
하지만 scoring average는 김세영이 차지할듯하고 Official money,
player of the year상은 박인비가 조금압선 김세영과 박인비의 각축전
입니다. 이번대회이후 세계랭킹은 박인비선수가 3위로 올라 top 3(고진영-
김세영-박인비)가 한국인 선수인 진풍경을 보여 주네요.   규정
