Girl from Ipanema Carries Olympic Torch Girl from Ipanema Carries Olympic Torch Rio Olympic 의 Opening ceremony에서 불려진 " The Girl from Ipanema" 는 Antonio Carlos Jobim 이 1960년 작곡하고 Portuguese 시인 Vinicius de Moraes가 그당시 17세 소녀 였던 Helo Pinheiro 가 자주 가던 Beach에서 만나면서 영감을 받아서 작사된 음악이라 합니다. "The girl from ipanema"는 Bossa Nova Jazz 로 1950년에 유행한 Samba와 Jazz의 Lyrical fusion의 Brazilian Genre로 1962년에 처음으로 Record되어 미국에서는 Billboard Hot 100에서는 Number 5로 올랐읍니다. United kingdom 에서는 29등으로 오르고 세계 각국에서 유명해젔읍니다. 역사상 Beatles의 "Yesterday" 다음으로 가장 많이 녹움돤 Pop Song 입니다. 2009년에는 Brazilian Rolling Stone에서 27 번째의 Greatest Brazilian song으로 선정 되었읍니다. 1965년에는 Record of the year로 선정되고 Madonna, Amy Winehouse와 Frank Sinatra이외의 많은 Singer들이 노래 했읍니다 "The girl from ipanema"의 영감을 준 Helo Pinheiro 는 현재 71세로 2016년 Rio Olympic에서 Torch Relay의 마지막 Torch bearer 를 했으며 Brazilian Supermodel 인 Giesel Bundchen가 Maracana Stadium 에서한 Rio Olympic Opening Ceremony에서 는 Helo Pinheiro 를 대신하며 출연하였읍니다. 다음은 가사입니다.
