Sung Hyun Park(24) won 2017 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year.

This award was considered as one of the most coveted award for
players because of 'once in a lifetime award' for the player.

Sung Hyun Park's goal this year was winning Rookie of the year and
one LPGA win and she has overachieved already for this goal(2 win
including Major,US Open).

Since Se Ri Pak entered LPGA in 1998,11 Korean players have won this
prestegious award(박세리(1998년), 김미현(1999년), 한희원(2001년), 안시현(2004년),
이선화(2006년), 신지애(2009년), 서희경(2011년), 유소연(2012년), 김세영(2015년),
전인지(2016년),그리고 박성현(2017)) and last three in a row.

Since inception of 'Rookie of the Year',named after
legendary Hall of Famer,late Louise Suggs in 1962,
there have been 56 winners.

10 out of 56 winners eventually became LPGA and World
Hall of Fame members. Here are the list.

Joanne Carner (1970), Amy Alcott (1975), Nancy Lopez (1978),
Beth Daniel (1979), Patty Sheehan (1981), Juli Inkster (1984),
Annika Sorenstam (1994), Karrie Webb (1996), Se Ri Pak (1998),
and Lorena Ochoa (2003). This proved this award being one of
barometers and predictors for becoming super-stardom of LPGA.

There were only one time the rookie of the year becoming player
of the year in same year as well. Nancy Lopez fullfilled in 1978.
Jiyai Shin was so close in 2009,but could not do this feat,missing
last putt in last game of the seson and handed to Lorena Ochoa for
'player of the year'.

Sung Hyun Park has chance to fullfill this feat this year! 

Since Se Ri Pak entered in LPGA in 1998 there were 11 out of 20
Rookies of the year from Korea and this proved the dominaces of
