Wonderful Pictures !! Thanks a million.

Only thing not as good is his own portrait sitting on a rock near the sea.
Probably it was taken by someone else or by the camera on a tripod.
The problem was that he himself weren't behind the view finder.
That's why the picture isn't as good as other pictures of his.

This may be one of the reason why the photographer himself seldom appears in his own pictures.

"The Light", opened my eyes and my heart to "The Light".

자연,아침햇살,바위,폭포, 파도...
작품 하나,하나에 쏟은 작가의 정성과 손길을
감탄하며 생각해 봅니다.

마지막 사진은 그냥 자기소개의 증명사진 같은데요?

물론 자기 소개의 증명사진이지만, it could have been better.
For example, "the light" bisects his face (half bright and the other half in shade).
Nobody takes a portrait of someone's face like that.

This is because he couldn't see himself when the picture was taken.
It was taken by someone else or in shutter delay mode.
(Maybe, I am analyzing too much...)

운영자님 말씀 읽고 보니,
portrait(자기 소개사진?)은 
너무 소홀이 취급했던것 같네요.

헌데,
처음 사진을 둘러 볼때는
좋은 사진들에 취해서
마지막 사진은 보지도 않았더라구요.

운영자님께서 언급하셨기에,
우정 찾아서 보았네요.

저는 몇번 더 사진들을 둘러 보려고합니다.
마지막사진은 빼놓고요! ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

This is my kind of "Light", without the fancy filter....
Oh, well... a bit puny and humble though.
Jeff Tangen took exactly the same rock from the same position.

The Balanced Rock at Arches National Park, Utah on November 3,2009

어머나!  와!
Mr.Tangen과 같은 바위와 햇살을  찍으셨네요!!!!
그런데 그 햇살이 어떻게 만들어진 것인지 모르겠어요.
Long Shutter Speed?
해가 그자리에 올때를 기다리셨겠죠?

Mr. Tangen의 위의 사진들을 보면
물의 흐름은 Long Shutter Speed를 많이 쓴것 같은데,
햇살은 잘 모르겠네요.

저는 지난주에 Washington,DC의 Tidal Basin에 새벽에가서
단풍을 찍어 보았어요.Jefferson Memorial 에 햇빛이 반사되는것을
찍기는 했으나, 햇살은 어떻게 처리 할 수 있는 것인지 아직 감감하네요.

Camera lens 앞에 metal mesh filter를 끼고 해를 찍으면 Tangent의 Sun-burst effect이 납니다.
이 사진은 filter 없이 그냥 찍으면서 해의 일부분만 넣고 찍었죠 (to prevent under-exposure).
특별한 exposure setting이 필요 없읍니다. 언제고 한번 try 해보세요.

This picture below is mine. Mine has people in it, showing the dimension of the structure.
And it has the far background surrounding the arch.
I like mine better than the lifeless and backgroundless picture of Jeff Tangen.
You can understand Jeff's picture much better if you see mine.

It was late afternoon when we climbed the area of Delicate Arch as the last hiking of the day.
There were a lot of photographers waiting for the sunset at the Delicate Arch.
The color of the Navajo sandstone will turn much redder at the sunset.
I didn't want to wait as I had to bring my group down before it got dark.

운영자님의 사람과 배경 경치가 포함된(생명있는) The Delicate Arch와
그사진보다 오른쪽에서, 닥아서서 아니면 줌으로 잡아당겨 찍은 Tanger의
사진을 비교하며 여러각도의 구도의 가능성을 상상해 봅니다.

자난번 Machu Picchu에 다녀와서
저의 풍경사진에 엄청나게 실망했었거든요.
(풍경사진경험이 부족한것이 이유이겠지만),
그 웅장한 자연을 담지못하고,
작은 부분에 너무 치중한것이
나중에 보니 많이 초라해 보였습니다.
다시 그자리에 돌아갈 수 없음이 많이 아쉬웠어요.

이번에도
운영자님께 많은것을 배웁니다.

신 성려님, 저도 여행 가서 한 2000여장 사진 찍어 오면 한장도 마음에 않들때가 더 많습니다.
사람 눈에 보이는 자연 풍광을 그 조그만 카메라 렌즈로 어찌 다 잡아 내겠습니까?
