What a fabulouse display by Sung Hyun Park on the
last day of HSBC Women's World Championship.

Sung Hyun Park wins HSBC Women's World Championship
at Singapore 2 strokes over Minjee Lee. It was a coming
from behind win and her 6th LPGA win including 2 Majors.

Park has been traditionally slow starter of the season,
but not this year thus far. In first 52 holes,she had
played excellent game in front nine(-10),but she had made
many mistakes to be 3 over pars in back nine during these
times.

However

On Sunday she was totally different! She started hot,5 birdies
in first 7 holes and had not made many mistakes as previous
3 days and ended up 4 more birdies to win by 2 strokes.

Her goals this season is 5 wins including Majors and recapure
of Rolex World Rankings No 1 and she started to step on right

It was very nice to see many Korean flags in the leader board in a while.

Basically, it was the race between 이민지 and 박성현. Park made a crucial

mistake on the par 5 8th(?)hole. She tried a high pitch shot from about 5-10

yard away from the green instead of running low shot, but she hit the ball

fat. She had to face a long birdie putt and three putt resulted in bogey. 

At that moment Minjee led by one stroke. Park playing two holes ahead of

Lee birdied par 5 13(?) and driving par 4 14(?), but Minjee bogeyed these

holes. That was the deciding moment. Both played very well, but Park did

better this time. Minjee will have a good year.

Minjee has been the most consistent player among
upper echelon group of players thus far and I agree
with you that she will win sooner than later.

Sung Hyun Park has been slowly but steadily becoming
ace of 태극낭자군,but she needs more consistency!

Agressive player as she is,I wish she would be more
agressive in interview with English by herself than
using interpreter.

As long as she is pursuing in LPGA, English is 'must'
to the player especially super caliber like her.

Inbee Park mentioned balance between family life and
golf,but unfortunately professional golfing is cruel
enough not to allow that kind of luxuries especially
she is trying to pusuit mostly Majors.

In order to win Majors,she simply has to play more
tournaments than 13,which she had played last season.

태극낭자군 has been excellent so far this season! They

박성현 선수가 세계랭킹 1위에 복귀한 뉴스입니다.   규정

박성현, 4개월 만에 세계 1위 복귀

박성현(26)이 약 4개월 만에 세계 랭킹 1위에 복귀했다.

지난주 미국여자프로골프(LPGA) 투어 HSBC 위민스 월드
챔피언십에서 우승한 박성현은 5일(한국시각) 발표된 여자
골프 세계 랭킹에서 포인트 6.74점을 획득해 6.54점의
에리야 쭈타누깐(태국)을 0.2점 차로 제쳤다. 쭈타누깐은
지난주 대회에서 공동 7위에 올랐다.

박성현이 세계 1위를 탈환한 건 지난해 10월 말 이후 약
4개월 만이다. 세계 1위에 오른 건 이번이 세 번째다.

2017년 11월 처음으로 일주일간 세계 1위에 올랐고, 지난해
8월부터 다시 2개월간 1위를 달리다 쭈타누깐에게 1위 자리를
넘겨줬다.

LPGA 투어는 2주간 휴식을 취하지만 박성현은 오는 6일부터
사흘간 필리핀에서 열리는 더 컨트리클럽 레이디스 인비테이셔널에
출전한다.

올해부터 박성현의 새로운 후원사가 된 필리핀의 블룸베리 리조트가
이 대회를 후원하고 있다.

쭈타누깐에 이어 최근 2주 연속 준우승을 차지한 이민지(호주)가 3위,
유소연(29)과 박인비(31)가 4위와 5위를 유지했다. 고진영(24)은
8위로 3계단이 올랐다.

세계랭킹 1위인 박성현선수는 이번주 필리핀에서 벌어진 대만여자
골프투어의 일부인 필리핀 여자골프대회에서 우승했다.

투어자체는 푸로 2급정도의 수준이나 박성현선수의 메인 스폰서인
솔레아리조트앤 카지노가 주최하는 대회이어서 홍보차인면도 있으나
세계 1인자로서 열악한 필리핀 여자 골프의 활성화하는면에서 좋은
본보기라 생각되며 비록 액수는 크지 않으나 우승상금전액,만5천달라
를 기부한 훈훈한 뉴스이며 태극낭자들의 국위선양에도 한몫을 한셈

박성현(26·솔레어)이 다시 한 번 뜻 깊은 선행을 펼쳤다.

박성현의 소속사인 세마스포츠마케팅은 14일 “박성현이 최근
여자골프 세계랭킹 1위 탈환을 기념해 서울사회복지공동모금회
‘서울 사랑의 열매’에 1억 원을 기부하기로 했다. 이번 후원
금은 꼭 필요한 곳을 위해 쓰일 예정”이라고 밝혔다.

박성현은 이달 초 싱가포르에서 끝난 미국여자프로골프(LPGA)
투어 HSBC 위민스 월드 챔피언십에서 역전 우승을 하면서
에리야 쭈타누깐(24·태국)을 제치고 세계랭킹 1위로 올라섰다.

약 4개월 만의 왕좌 탈환. 이어 필리핀에서 열린 필리핀여자
골프투어(LPGT) 더컨트리클럽 레이디스 인비테이셔널에서 다시
정상을 밟으면서 1위 탈환을 자축했다.

이번 기부로 박성현은 기부 천사로서의 행보를 이어가게 됐다.
개인 고액 기부자클럽인 아너 소사이어티의 회원인 박성현은
프로 데뷔 후 꾸준하게 기부 활동을 펼치고 있다. 스포츠 스타
가운데서도 가장 많은 기부를 한 선수로 잘 알려져 있다.

박성현은 “2019년을 멋지게 시작할 수 있었던 힘은 팬 여러
분들의 응원과 사랑이었다. 팬분들로부터 받은 사랑에 보답하는
방법 중 하나는 나눔을 실천하는 일이라고 생각했다”고 이번
기부의 배경을 밝혔다.

세마스포츠마케팅 관계자는 “박성현은 기부 외에도 골프 유망주
육성에 대한 지원 계획도 세워나가고 있다. 한국은 물론 국제
무대에서 활약하는 유소년 선수들을 돕기 위해 여러 실천 방법을
모색하고 있다”고 설명했다.
